The New York queen of the Electro scene rules with a flier in hand, vinyl in the other, as she addresses her amassed followers and proclaims, "Let us dance!". With her party roots planted across NY, Baltimore, and Philly, Roxy Cottontail (also known as Oxy Cottontail, a wink to the prescription drug Oxycontin) has brought light to the underground. Tastemaking is like breathing air in her world. Evidence can be found in her weekly dance parties at some of the biggest night spots in NY including Webster Hall, to her documented history of discovering new talent before it breaks world wide (see Diplo, Chromeo, and Spankrock to name a few). Never losing site of why she does it all, from promoting to DJing to Producing, she can be found on the dancefloor, carefree as if making money wasn't on the menu for that evening.

Hipster Overkill's MC Shawn Lucas caught up with Roxy while in DC in support of her friend Armand Van Helden at DC Star Night Club.
