Q-Tip, formerly of A Tribe Called Quest, lets Hipster Overkill bring you inside an exclusive listening party for his new CD THE RENAISSANCE.

It's been 9 years since his last solo album (Amplified, featuring the smash hit "Vivrant Thing") and 10 years since the last Tribe release (The Love Movement). To say this album has been widely anticipated is an understatement. Despite his disappointment when his label BMG shelved his more musically adventurous Kamal The Abstract CD, Q-Tip has still been making moves by producing tracks and guest appearing as an MC on other artists albums.

In this 3 part video segment, Hipster Overkill gives you a pass to see and hear Q-Tip as he talks about the inspiration behind The Renaissance, plays songs from the CD, answers questions about Barack Obama, DJing, D'angelo & more...plus, a live FREESTYLE!
