M.I.A.'s BIG WEEKEND There's no doubt that M.I.A. is a leader of the new Electronic movement.  With 3 albums under her belt and her single "Paper Planes" selling millions, it was only a matter of time before she made a mainstream power move.  With her 4th album scheduled for release this summer she just dropped the lead single, "Bad Girls", along with the video which debuted online yesterday.  The song sounds much glossier than her past material but still has the international feel fans would expect from her.  Middle Eastern instruments chime under her signature rap vocals complimenting the video which was shot in Ouarzazate, Morocco.  The clip features a tribe of sheik types as they watch cars perform tricks that would make Vin Diesel and Paul Walker hard.  About the shoot, headed by director Romain Gavras (who also directed her "Born Free" video), M.I.A. had this to say: "It was dope to  have so many people from so many different backgrounds speaking so many different languages come together to create something that we believed in,” says M.I.A about the video. “I thought I was gonna die on the shoot when I saw the drifting.  It was a four day shoot so everyone was on edge the whole time specifically ME when I had to do bluesteel singing to the camera while the cars did doughnuts on the wet road ten feet away. In my mind I was thinking how I was gonna deliver the video to Vice with no legs.” Not only did "Bad Girls" drop this week, but so did Madonna's latest, "Give Me All Your Luvin'", which prominently features M.I.A..  Also co-starring Nicki Minaj, the two follow Madonna as her personal cheerleaders and also drop a quick verse each in the middle.  The song is produced by French "Hello" hit maker Martin Solveig and is from the Pop Queen's upcoming release, MDNA.  You can catch the trio this Sunday performing the half-time show of the big Super Bowl game. - Dominic Painter BUY "BAD GIRLS" ON iTUNES M.I.A.  "BAD GIRLS" M.I.A. ,  MADONNA  and  MARTIN SOLVEIG Behind The Scenes In The Studio MADONNA  ft.  M.I.A.  and  NICKI MINAJ  "GIVE ME ALL YOUR LUVIN'"
